I LIKE RUSTY SPOONS... KINDA

Growing up my Dad and I collected souvenir spoons whenever we travelled somewhere new. This collection of small (rusted) metal teaspoons has grown to become more than just cutlery but instead a tangible form of happy memories I’ve made across the globe.

MY (RUSTY) SOUVIENER SPOONS:

Although I love my spoons that remind me of places far away, some of the most impactful experiences in my life have taken place a little closer to home. So, I decided to make spoons that reminded me of home; not of being hundreds of miles away from it.

MY HOMEMADE (NOT SO RUSTY) SPOONS:

Although the spoons may seem simple, the color, shape, and smallest of details were all made with very specific intentions. Each spoon was created with a specific memory, place, experience, date, or person in mind.  These simple spoons all correlate to things that were crucial in shaping who I am today.

Knowing where I've been, helps me know where I want to go and what I want to do. That dream is to continue make things as an art director!

A special thanks to Diet Coke for helping me get through 80+ hours of working on this project
